Fulton Mayor Ron Woodward Mayor and Lawrence “Larry” Macner Veteran of the year 2017

Each Fall, the Fulton Veteran’s Council chooses a Veteran of the Year from among the membership of several Fulton veteran’s organizations. For 2017, Lawrence “Larry” Macner, left, was named Veteran of the Year and is seen with Fulton Mayor Ron Woodward.
Larry was born on January 1954, in Utica, New York. His career with the U.S. Air Force includes 6 years of Active Duty, starting in 1973, and 22 years with the N.Y. Air National Guard, starting in 1986, for a total of 28 years. His rank at discharge was Master Sergeant (E-7). Macner will be the Grand Marshal for the Memorial Day Salute Parade on May 27th. The parade is sponsored by the Fulton Lions, Kiwanis, Rotary and Sunrise Rotary Service Clubs, in cooperation with the Fulton Veteran’s Council.
